At one time in college I was known as “juicy booty”. I had a nice round “juicy” butt with junk in the trunk for a 100 lb. Irish gal. In many ways it was my crowning glory. Flash forward and my crowning glory has become a royal pain in the ass. My once coveted behind is not flat and saggy. Small, yes, but no longer spectacular. When I look in the mirror all I see is a tiny pale white Irish derriere.  Hey, guess what? They have a special treatment for that. It’s called the Fanny Facial and Smooth Synergy invented it.

Smooth Synergy is a medi spa, which means that not only can you get your everyday facials, laser services and massages, but they also have medical folks on staff to conduct more invasive procedures such as Botox, Mesotherapy and Nutrition Consultation. The feel of Smooth Synergy is part relaxing spa and part very professional doctor's office. It is a great place for folks that feel uncomfortable with the often “touch feely” vibe of many other spas. In fact, while I was waiting for my procedure I saw many men in the waiting room. This is a perfect place for men, as well as, women who want to get waxed or pampered but want it a bit more on the discreet side.

Smooth Synergy invented the Fanny Facial and god bless them for it.  Let me explain. The Fanny Facial is a three step process that firms, detoxifies and smoothes your derriere. First, after baring your buns, the folks at Smooth Synergy exfoliate your buns with their own Papaya Mint body scrub. The scrub has natural enzymes in it that help slough away dead skin, as well as, smooth the skin on your buns. Then they use Microcurrent therapy to get rid of the lumpy and bumpy appearance of your buns. The Microcurrent feels a bit weird at first, to be honest, like a tiny electric shock. But then it felt fine, good actually, like being massaged by 1,000 fingers. The Microcurrent stimulates the muscles in your buns and makes them flex and relax to actually tone the muscle. They told me that it is even equivalent to over 3 hours of exercise. I believe it, my butt felt muscularly worked out. This Microcurrent therapy even has anti-inflammatory results and it also helps flush the system of toxins. I was told to take it a bit easy after the service. My buns would feel a bit sore, like after a good workout, and I should drink plenty of water to help flush the toxins. It was awesome, I have to say. My butt felt higher and tighter and definitely more “juicy”.

The final step in this Fanny Facial is an allover spray tan. What is special about this spray is that it is a combination of mineral salt bronzers and DHA 20 (which is an FDA approved cosmetic tanning agent). It is actually a vegetable derived product (It’s made from beets!) that contains no alcohol, oil, perfumes or potentially harmful chemicals or preservatives and it’s odor free. That means no weird onion spray tanner smell. You disrobe and stand in a little tent while a person actually uses a spray nozzle hooked up to a little machine that sprays the color out. Having a person there spraying you helps control streaking, I had none, and they can spray some areas darker than others. You can control your color and get to places that a regular spray tan cannot reach, under armpits, between thighs, etc. I walked away odorless and fantastically bronzed. And the tan lasted for two weeks and faded completely naturally, no weird streaks or patches. The color of the tan was not at all orange; it was more on the deep brown side, which I love. I left a tight fannied bronzed goddess, an homage to my collegiate beautifully bootied self. Only this time less Irish skinned and more Bahama mama.
