Praba is a Sanskrit word meaning light and radiance. The name was chosen not only because it applies to beauty, but it also serves as a tribute to the owner’s parents. Praba Salon is an Asian-Indian inspired beauty salon and spa offering an array of services including threading, waxing, facials, special treatments, henna tattoo, massage, and spa packages.

Threading is a centuries-old technique of hair removal practiced in India, and rapidly growing in popularity across the United States. The beautician removes individual or rows of unwanted hair by using string or thread, and pulling out the hairs by the follicle.

Henna, also a centuries-old tradition in India, is used to create intricate hand art designs. The paste of a ground plant, mainly in a red or black dye, is used to create temporary tattoos which last approximately 1-2 weeks.

The salon also features and sells products imported from India, including Indian-inspired costume and sterling silver jewellery, fabric and leather handbags, clothing, and hand-made marble and metal jewelry boxes. Our products are unique and make excellent gifts for birthdays, wedding favors, and corporate events.
