One
secret to the success of Paul Labrecque Salon & Spa is the
exceptional relationship that Creative Director Paul Labrecque,
Managing Director Brian Cantor and Spa Director Regina Viotto have
nurtured. The talented staff share their passionate quest for new
inspiration to share with clients. There’s always something
noteworthy—not to mention fun—going on at both locations, so
life at Paul Labrecque never gets monotonous. The energy level is
manageable, welcoming and friendly—they are cozy in the coolest

It
all started with a dream, and that is what it has become—a place
to dream and lay idle, a sanctuary to keep the city’s buzz out and
the sanity in. Paul’s original clientele recall his original boite
of a salon at 70th and Columbus, where the dream of
offering customers the finest services and products available took
root in 1988. The salon quickly outgrew its tiny location, moving to
The Reebok Sports Club at 160 Columbus Avenue in 1995. It became
the place to go for those who quickly connected
with the salon & spa’s unique vision and top-of-the-line
service. The West Side location includes four open salon stations, a
two-seat enclosed color and chemical styling room, an Endermologie
room, three facial/body
treatment rooms, four massage rooms, a private manicure and pedicure area and a comfortable lounge. Clients have use of the The
Reebok Sports Club facilities, including sauna, steam and whirlpool,
and all-day Paul Labrecque Salon & Spa packages include full use
of the Reebok fitness facilities and swimming pool.
The
overwhelming response to the West Side location gave birth to Paul
Labrecque Salon & Spa East, located at The Chatham, 181 East 65th
Street, in 2002. Representing the most advanced level of technology
in the spa industry, this 7,000-square-foot duplex salon & spa

Paul’s
innovative philosophies center on the premise that hairstyle
and color should simply reflect an individual’s personality.
His styling and color expertise exemplifies this, as do his

introducing the U.S. to ground-breaking hair services from
around the world, including hair extensions, thermal
reconditioning, and most recently, color varnishing.

Trained
in the art of hair cutting and coloring in London, Paul
Labrecque embarked on a career as a platform artist that took
him on a worldwide tour, working with celebrities and models.
Paul has demonstrated his cutting and coloring techniques to
hairdressers throughout Europe and North America. Upon moving to New York City, Paul served as artistic
director in some of Manhattan’s finest salons before opening
his own salon on Manhattan’s Upper West Side in 1988. With
his natural penchant for carefree cuts and custom-blended
color, Paul Labrecque’s salon grew quickly to become
recognized as one of the city’s hottest hair studios.
Paul’s
current projects include bringing his clients the latest in
technological advances in hair and spa care while continuing
with editorial and runway work. He continues to develop new
hair-care and body products, and is expanding distribution of
his entire line to high-end specialty shops, salons and day
spas throughout the country. His ongoing research keeps him
busy traveling the world and collaborating with chemists to
